our client approached us with a mid terrace property in an extreme state of disrepair and several options were explored to ascertain the most suitable scheme for the site which was narrow and long | in order to maximize the potential of the property a scheme was produced to excavate a basement the full extent of the ground floor footprint including new rear and side extensions and additional living space provided in the roof |

the built scheme has a large full length split level ground floor kitchen, living & dining space with views through the glazed rear extension into the garden and the refurbished ‘summer house’ at the end | a 6m glazed roof over the side extension provides light to the inner areas of the space | the basement also provides a full length open plan space with a courtyard and light-well at the rear offering direct access to the garden | the upper floors comprise 4 bedrooms and three bathrooms |
